Our subsidiary, Brantner digital solutions, offers unique solutions in the field of artificial intelligence for waste management. The real challenge, however, is to think outside the box and link different areas together to generate added value. Brantner is a leader in this field and occupies a frontrunning position in Europe.
Interfering material scanner and AI
The use of artificial intelligence helps us to feed even more important materials into the right cycle and reuse them sustainably. One application example is our waste scanner. Brantner has redefined the standard for image-based detection of objects in waste management. With the help of our neural network, we can currently differentiate between 32 different impurities in real time directly in the organic waste truck and give them a school grade from 1-5. The same technology is also used in our plastics sorting plant in Wölbling, where we are currently measuring the sorting depth of our plant. Artificial intelligence helps us here to adjust our “separators” even more optimally. But our solution is not only ideal for use in the waste management sector; there are successful use cases in almost every industrial sector.
Sensors
Thanks to state-of-the-art LoRaWan technology, our sensors communicate with a service in an extremely energy-saving manner and transmit data as required. Our sensors are used in applications ranging from classic fill level measurements and specialized moisture measurements in viticulture to complex smart city projects where, among other things, the proportion of particulate matter can be measured.
