RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

Passion for sustainability

As a family business with a long-term and responsible approach, we have been investing a lot of time and energy in research and development in order to turn today’s waste into high-quality energy, raw materials and tomorrow’s products. We have set ourselves the goal of actively shaping the future of waste management, living sustainability and developing pioneering concepts for people, the environment and society. We are convinced that today’s waste is tomorrow’s resource – that is our perspective, our drive and our passion! Through comprehensive research and development, Brantner is thus continuing on the path from waste management to resource-saving energy and raw materials management. Continuous further development is driven by intensive cooperation with research institutions, industry and customers.

Your partner for innovation

We work closely with research institutions, industry and customers to find innovative ideas in the field of the circular economy. It is particularly important to us to improve the sorting depth of waste and to develop solutions for materials that are currently not recyclable. There is also a lively exchange with practical companies in order to be able to address specific issues. This networked thinking and the combination of various processes and technologies from other areas is essential for an innovative and solution-oriented circular economy. We are intensively involved with the topics and technologies of tomorrow, in line with our motto: sustainability is what drives us. Brantner is a leader in this field and occupies a frontrunner position in Europe.

Artificial intelligence and sensor technology

Brantner not only researches tomorrow’s technologies to optimally separate today’s waste streams, but also successfully implements them in practice. The use of artificial intelligence helps us to feed even more important materials into the right cycle and reuse them sustainably. The technology we have developed and applied in the field of artificial intelligence can also be used in almost all other industrial sectors. We also make use of sensors to transfer data as required.
Regular processes can be simplified using modern robotics. Projects such as our autonomously operating and navigating waste robot “Scarab” show what waste disposal could look like in the future.

Environmental protection is our motto and certificates guarantee that all waste is collected, recycled and disposed of in a professional, legally compliant and, above all, environmentally friendly manner.
